InsureC (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information you provide when using our platform or requesting access.
What we collect
When you submit the access request form, we collect your name, work email address, brokerage or agency name, and any optional message you provide. Once you become a user, we also store the data you enter into the platform (client records, policy details, claims, and related documents) in order to provide the service.
How we use it
Your data is used to: respond to your enquiry, grant and manage platform access, send product updates and onboarding information, and improve InsureC based on aggregate usage patterns. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Data storage & security
All data is stored securely with reputable cloud infrastructure providers. We process personal data in accordance with the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 590) (“PDPO”). Data in transit is encrypted using TLS 1.2+. Data at rest is encrypted using AES-256.
You may request access to or correction of your data at any time by emailing [email protected]. We will respond to access and correction requests within 40 days as required by the PDPO.
Analytics & cookies
We use Vercel Analytics to understand how visitors use our site (pages viewed, country, device type) so we can improve it. This data is anonymised and not linked to your personal information. We collect this data for the purpose of improving our service, consistent with Data Protection Principle 1 of the PDPO.
You can opt out at any time by enabling “Do Not Track” in your browser or by emailing us at [email protected].
Third-party services
To operate the platform we work with trusted third-party service providers. Where those providers handle your personal data on our behalf, we ensure appropriate contractual protections are in place consistent with the PDPO. We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes, and we do not use your client or policy data to train AI models.
Your rights
Under the PDPO you have the right to request access to your personal data held by us, and to request correction of any inaccurate data. To exercise these rights, please contact us at [email protected]. We may charge a reasonable fee for access requests as permitted by the PDPO. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data (PCPD) in Hong Kong.
